Other dogs don't seem to matter as he shared close quarters with a male and female on his long trip to his foster home. Dustin needs a good grooming as he is quite matted, but under those mats is a lush, thick coat of good texture. He has a soft gentle face, takes treats gently, wasn't thrilled to have his teeth examined but did not struggle and let me do it. He seems to know sit for a treat, and offered a paw as well. He does pull on lead and the ride was a little streeful for him. He was quiet, but panting during his journey. He is a happy, outgoing, friendly boy, a little goofy, who should have a fenced yard. He is HW negative and all vaccinations are current. He is crate trained, housebroken, and knows the basic commands. Buddy gets along well with other dogs, but if he can get away with it, will try to dominate the other dog. This is not surprising since both breeds are reputated to stray from home if given the opportunity. Big Guy Two is confident, gentle, and affectionate. He gets along with cats and most dogs. He knows basic commands. He is always ready to go for a car ride and participate in family activities. Big Guy Two needs firm and consistent handling by an owner that he respects. Chloe is not the starter dog for the first time Samoyed owner. That is how she ended up in rescue. Her owners did not understand her or the Samoyed breed. They were unable to deal with her. She spent most of her 2 years of life living in a crate in the garage. Chloe is not a bad dog; rather she is a happy, happy, very energetic gal that wants to play, play, play. Her new family should plan to take her to obedience, agility, or some other structured training/exercise program. She is an adolescent with energy to spare. Chloe is sweet and affectionate. She can be calm and play quietly with her toys, or lay on your lap for lovin' if given adequate regular exercise. An acitve family would be great for Chloe. She would be a great jogging partner. She will do best if she can participate in the family activities. Chloe is not dog aggressive, but she would undoubtedly assume the dominant position over other dogs. She successfully completed heartworm treatment but will always have an enlarged heart because of the severity of the heartworms. She was already microchipped and we had her spayed upon the completion of her heartworm treatment. She was adopted by an older couple who had lost a Sam.
