Below please find tips on scootering technique for the Blauwerk Cruiser:

Foot positioning:  Place one foot on the footboard off centre so that when gliding (the fun part)  both  feet are resting  symmetrically on the footboard. Take more long kicks: They are  (on flat land) more effective than frequent short ones. Concentrate on style and hold your weight on supporting leg. Don’t lean on the kicking foot or hands.

Let it roll:   The Sidewalker is built to glide. The fun in scootering comes from the superb rolling capabilities that allow you to concentrate on the kicking motion and world outside instead of pushing , pushing and pushing. Change foot frequently: Take 3-10 kicks with one foot. The stronger the kick, the less the number. More kicks for fast riding and hill climbing: Fewer for easy cruising.

Relax:  Enjoy kicking. Don’t try to force yourself to a specific pace or style. You are connected (but not tied) to the Sidewalker at only two points. You’re free to move. Free to have your own style. Balance like riding a bike:  A Sidewalker feels different from a bike, mainly because you’re not seated in a saddle. Steering is very similar to riding a bike, standing on the pedals.
