Herding Trial and Instinct Test

Two separate AHBA sanctioned events!

Sunday, October 13 and Monday, October 14, 2002

Judges: Kathy Stokey-Dillon and Linda Rorem

These are judges who have experience with Samoyeds in herding.

Location of Herding Events: Dicky Renn's Farm
Buckeystown Pike/ Route 85
Buckeystown, Maryland
This location is approximately 2 hours from the host hotel.

Directions to HERDING SITE from HOST HOTEL:

Start out going West on HARRISBURG PIKE by turning left.

Take the I-81 S ramp towards CHAMBERSBURG.

Merge onto I-81 S.

Take the PA-641 exit- exit number 49- towards HIGH ST.

Turn LEFT onto PA-641/TRINDLE RD.

Stay straight to go onto PA-641/TRINDLE RD.

Turn RIGHT onto FAIRVIEW ST.

Turn LEFT onto YORK RD/PA-74.

YORK RD/PA-74 becomes CARLISLE RD.

CARLISLE RD becomes US-15 S.

US-15 S becomes US-40 E.

Stay straight to go onto I-270 S.

Take the MD-85 S exit- exit number 31B- towards BUCKEYSTOWN.

Stay straight to go onto MD-85.

Stay straight to go onto MD-85/BUCKEYSTOWN PIKE.

Dicky Renn's Farm will be on the right, approximately 6 miles past Francis Scott Key Mall.

(Look for the "3020" sign)


Classes Offered
HCT	Herding Capability Test (Pass/Fail)
JHD	Junior Herding Dog (Pass/Fail)
HTDI	Herding Trial Dog (Started/Scored)
HTDII	Herding Trial Dog (Intermediate/Scored)`
HTDIII	Herding Trial Dog (Advanced/Scored)

Sheep will be used for the trial and the test.
Ducks will be available for the TRIAL ONLY if a sufficient entry is received.

$25.00 per dog per run
First come, first serve - one run per dog per day
Slots filled first with Trial runs, then with tests.

Unfilled slots may be filled on the date of the trial.

Bitches in seasion will run the trial in designated order.
Bitches in season will run the test after all dogs have finished.
No refunds will be provided for bitches in season.

Different judges will be available for the classes each day.

Premiums will be sent on request.
